This Meditation technique is non-religious and comprised of information from the Vedas – ancient wisdom texts from India. It is ideal for busy people with even busier minds.

This self sufficient practice is non religious and is specifically for busy people dealing with the stress of everyday life. It is taught by highly trained teachers (over 6,500 hours requirement each) in person, over 4 sessions and includes lifetime follow up programs.

Aware Meditation’s technique (also known as Vedic Meditation), is designed with a structure to be practiced twice a day, for twenty minutes while sitting comfortably. It is taught in person by a trained teacher over a series of 4 sessions, over 4 consecutive days.

The course includes:
– Over 8 hours of in-person teaching
– 21-day meditation follow up program
– Lifetime beginner practice follow up program 
– Free refresher courses
– Eligibility to advanced courses and retreats

A one time all inclusive donation is given in exchange for learning which supports our non profit. Donation for learning is on a sliding scale based upon each individual’s circumstances. This is explained in our FREE first session. 

 Children’s Course

Children of meditators are eligible to learn a special technique after a parental figure has been meditating for three months at no financial cost. 

Outreach Sliding Scale Option

For anyone who has practiced an existing Vedic Meditation technique regularly for at least 12 months, it is recommended that they obtain an Advanced Technique.  In Vedic Meditation, an Advanced Technique is designed to allow the meditator to integrate that elusive, blissful and deeply charming state that we slip into in our deepest meditations, into every moment of our awakened state.  A good example of how and Advanced Technique supports us in our evolution is a car shifting from a low gear to a higher gear to gain speed.  We can get where we need to go in first gear, but it will take much longer than if we shifted to a higher gear.

Laughter is healing. We integrate the somatic approach of comedy as a healing modality.

Beginners Course

This is designed for the comedy newcomer desiring to create their first comedy set of 3-5 minutes.

Our newcomer program is open to corporate business types, comedy lovers, entrepreneurs and all peoples desiring to expand their horizons.

We teach clean comedy and provide a safe space for people who know they are funny but unsure as to how to create that first comedy set.

We provide a safe teaching space free of prejudice and encourage those underrepresented in the comedy field (BIPoC, LGBTQ+, women and over 50) to claim their stage!

5 week class structure leading to performance .

Week Two – Getting your game on!

Week Three – Set creation and feedback

Week Four – Rhythm – the secret ingredient!

Week Five – Culmination

Our outreach courses are taught in a class setting in qualifying communities for low/er income groups. The hosting organization/community centre provides the teaching space, administration and organization for the course in collaboration with Aware Meditation Inc. Aware Meditation Inc. brings in teachers at no financial charge. We host up to 108 people in one teaching.

We offer three options.

Aware Meditation Course – 4 sessions over 4 days with each session lasting 2 hours (see above for details).

Comedy, Community & Education 

Community Laughter Healing Wellness Event – bringing comedy, your community and a whee bit of wellness education in a fun event. Laughter is healing, why not bring your group/community together with joy?

Partially funded program – donations appreciated at/for the event. This is a lovely combo after the 4 session meditation course.

Aware Meditation offers a series of Wellness Talks that are available online or as an in-person.We offer Wellness Education in the format of a motivational or inspirational speech; seminars; workshops; either as a multi-day or single course event. These are presented by our Founder.

Repetitive stress injuries are commonplace in an outside of the workplace. Children and adults alike are experiencing physical harm from our required technological over-usage. Preventative and post-injury techniques, both physical and mental, are given during this course.

Meditation – It’s not just for Men with Long Beards.

Meditation has become a buzz word but few understand the truth behind the practices. A simple breakdown of the varying philosophies, no nonsense talk and interactive exercises. An ideal beginners workshop. This is separate to the meditation course.

Anxiety/Depression Cycle  – Beyond Medication

1 in 6 are currently experiencing anxiety/depression or both. This workshop/talk highlights simple and harmless non-drug induced solutions to this pandemic.

Comedy Healing

A mind bending and fun workshop with laughter healing techniques and clean comedy.  This is not our intensive comedy course for non performers withRise Up Comedy.

 Addiction Recovery – On Our Doorstep, not the Streets.

There is an increase of 25% in drug addiction since 2017. This is on the rise. Educational session with personal stories from those that have broken the cycle.

Dylan Smith grows his own herbs and treats various individuals from high-level executives, celebrities and everyday folks — ranging from great health to those fighting chronic conditions. His in-depth training has involved years in India under the prestigious Raju Ayurvedic family lineage in Hyderbad. The Raju family comes from a long line of distinguished Vaidyas (Ayurvedia physicians) going back for generations on both the patriarchal and matriarchal sides. Many were guided under the Mahesh Yogi. They have both experience and success in treating a full range of diseases from prevention to seemingly incurable. Dylan continuously trains and collaborates with the Raju family in Australia, India and USA. He distributes high quality products from his own herb garden in Australia. 

Join Ayurveda Workshop

The Vedic Rounding technique combines a simple sequence of yoga positions (asanas) and a Vedic breathing technique (pranayama) with your current Vedic Meditation practice. The result is an ‘industrial-strength’ program designed to enhance the restfulness of meditation and release your deepest stressors. Any Vedic Meditator may learn regardless of time or level. No prior yoga experience is needed and accommodations can be made for any student with injuries. The workshop teaches you;

  •      Rounding Asanas with special accommodations and levels for each practitioner

  •      Remove up to 3 weeks of stress in one afternoon

Join Vedic Yoga: Rounding Workshops

Aware Meditation & Vedic Meditation (VMTT) Teacher Training.

We are delighted to host our non residential Vedic Meditation Teacher Training Program. Unlike other Vedic Meditation programs, we are a nonprofit organization that provides teaching opportunities upon completion. We incorporate: business and marketing strategies, integration within our current meditation community and continued mentorship as part of our recommended teacher collective during the training. We also provide a teaching collective collaboration upon graduation. All new teachers are supported under our umbrella and given a platform to successfully integrate into the meditation community. 

We encourage ALL Aware Meditators to participate. The world needs more meditation teachers.

Our Training Program is divided into two parts:

Part One: 

  • Eligibility to spend 3 live in weeks at our center to maximize training results
  • Attendance at Rounding Workshops during the training period 
  • Lectures from Aware Meditation Instructors
  • Guidance/Check Ins from lead teacher 
  • Marketing/business strategies
  • Introduction to our meditation community as trainees
  • Curriculum 
  • Students have up to 24 months to complete the requirements.

Participants who complete part one are considered Meditation Guides and eligible to host group meditations, run courses (they have taken)  but are not full teachers. 

Part Two:

The final segment is available for part one graduates who are charmed to become full teachers.

We are a non profit I organization that partners with organizations/individuals/institutions that are connected to or work with those in all forms of recovery to offer this meditation technique in large groups as a four session course.  This includes but is not limited to: treatment centers, recovery homes, shelters, jails, juvenile facilities, halfway houses, sober living residencies, outpatient centers etc.

The outreach program is for those unable to afford the $600 per person regular course donation. Centres that host individuals that are within the financial capacity may offer our group teachings at a reduced rate.

he Vedic Writing program is unique to any other form of journaling or small self writing activity. This followed by meditation delivers profound shifts in the waking state. Individuals who have done this writing program and meditation have transformed dramatically in comparison to those who do not. I have witnessed individuals diagnosed as bipolar and on intensive medication, after two years of practice have the diagnosis medically removed, free of medication and integrate in society, holding down a job and romantic relationship for the first time in over a decade. However just like learning Vedic (Meditation) and becoming an initiator, it can take some time.

  • Initial Learning: 2-3 hours
  • Question and answer sheet discussion (you will be given an extensive questionnaire to be submitted prior to the session).
  • Discourse / Lecture
  • Transmission of the first writing assignment with reading and reflection.

The remaining follow-up sessions can be done via phone: 

1. Daily reading of writing and reflective feedback:  45 mins – 1hr depending on volume.
Time period: 7 consecutive days (minimum)

2. Every other day – reading of writing and reflective feedback: 30 mins – 1hr depending on volume.
Time period: 14 days

3. Every few days – reading of writing and reflective feedback: 30 mins – 1hr depending on volume.
Time period: 1 month

4. Once a week – reading of writing and reflective feedback: 30 mins – 1hr depending on volume.
Time period: 1 month

5. Once per 2 weeks – reading of writing and reflective feedback: 30 mins – 1hr depending on volume.
Time period: 2 months 

6. Once a month – reading of writing and reflective feedback (or more if needed): 30 mins – 1hr depending on volume.
Time period: 6 months

7. Two months of reflective feedback on a need basis – up to 1 hour depending on need.
